

Biomechanical: The patient had bilateral low back pain, with referral down both posterior-lateral thighs. There was chronic irritation of the joints in her lumbar spine and postural spasm of her gluteus muscles as well as her Illiotibial band (among others). These changes were caused through repetitive overstrain due to excessive running. The problems were easing with repeated treatment. However, she started an anti-spasm regime with Brian and I noticed that her glut’s and illiotibial band had relaxed significantly within a week. These results were among the best I have seen for release of chronic muscle shortening.

I began working with Brian during the last few months of marathon training. Over the previous 12 months I suffered constantly with a series of calf injuries which prevented effective training. After an initial consultation and running technique analysis, Brian introduced some minor corrections. The adoption of this technique, along with Brian's coaching, has kept me injury free despite increased mileage. It has improved my running form and improved my speed. After starting training with Brian as a fairly new runner, I felt I needed help to build my
stamina, endurance, get quicker race times and above all get the right running technique!
Once we had discussed my aims & goals, I had a weekly session with Brian. Only after
the first few weeks I felt stronger, had more stamina, felt ‘lighter’ on my feet & started
to see some results. Brian worked on the whole package of my fitness, not only my
running but strength & conditioning & the importance of taking on the right fuel for what
I wanted to do.
I would certainly say the sessions were well worth it, whether you are a complete
beginner or a seasoned athlete.
